Bystanders pulled an opihi picker from the water Friday morning from the rocky shoreline fronting Kings Landing in Hilo.
According to a written Fire Department statement, rescue personnel responding to the 8:04 a.m. call administered CPR and advanced life support to the man, who was taken by ambulance to Hilo Medical Center.
No update on his condition was available.
