Missing California man sought
Hawaii County police are searching for a 31-year-old California man who was reported missing.
Yogi Yoswara was last seen in Hilo at 9 p.m. on Dec. 19. He was supposed to have met a friend to go hiking the following day but didn’t show up.
An email from a friend of Yoswara said that he was told by Alhambra, Calif., police that Yoswara’s debit card was used in a Hilo store on Dec. 26, the day Yoswara was supposed to have returned home from his vacation.
Yoswara, who is of Indonesian descent, is described as 5-foot-7, 140 pounds with short black hair and brown eyes.
Police ask that anyone with information on his whereabouts call the police non-emergency line at 935-3311.
Those who prefer anonymity may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300.
