Obituaries for November 14
Pa‘ani Edward Armstrong, 40, of Hilo died Oct. 6 in Kailua, Oahu. He was born in Honolulu. Celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Nov. 17 at the Armstrong residence, 916 Komomala Dr. in Hilo. Survived by mother, Dannette Maulani Armstrong; and sister, Nanea Armstrong Wassel.
Yukie Tanaka Fujioka, 92, of Papaikou, formerly of Honomu, died Oct. 27 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Honomu, she was a retired state Department of Health clerk-typist and member of Hilo Coast United Church of Christ, Hawaii Government Employees Association (HGEA) Retirees Unit and Hiroshima Kenjinkai. Visitation 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Funeral service at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. Casual attire; no flowers or koden (monetary gifts). Survived by son, David K. Fujioka of Papaikou; sister-in-law, Reiko Tanaka of Wahiawa, Oahu. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.
Rory Thompson Wick is survived by, among others, mother Elizabeth (Timothy) Hall and brother Paul Wick. Incomplete and incorrect info was submitted for an obituary published Wednesday.
