Yonola Olani Cho, 67, of Kealakekua died Oct. 21. Born in Honolulu, she loved embroidery, making beads necklaces and playing bingo. Celebration of life 8 a.m.-noon Saturday, Oct. 26 at Honaunau Beach. Survived by sisters, Abigail (Victorino) Bio of San Antonio and Charlene Taketa of Kawanui; sisters-in-law, Randi Cho of Honaunau and Ok Cha Cho of Oahu; nieces and nephews. Valerie Jean Green, 64, of Kailua-Kona died Oct. 13. Born in California, she was a a nurse at University of California-San Francisco Medical Center and Mt. Zion Hospital and president of Hawaii Island Writers Association. Graveside services 10 a.m. today at West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery. Survived by husband, Donald Green of Kailua-Kona; son, Robert (Michelle) Green of Novato, Calif.; daughters, Taylor Patterson of Los Angeles, Delores Kilgore of Modesto, Calif., and Mei Ling Green of Monterey, Calif.; brother, Fred Mayberry of Palo Alto, Calif.; sisters, Francine Manning of Cleveland and Sherry Mayberry of Dallas; seven grandchildren. Gilbert Webster Wiggins, 72, of Hilo died Oct. 15 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Newport News, Va., he was a pawnbroker, Vietnam War veteran of the U.S. Army and Air Force who earned a Purple Heart and three Bronze Stars, and member of American Legion Post 432 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3875.
