Roundabout meeting slated
The state Department of Transportation has rescheduled a meeting on a roundabout planned for Pahoa to Wednesday.
The meeting will be held from 6-8 p.m. at the Pahoa Neighborhood Facility, 15-3022 Kauhale St.
The informational meeting was initially scheduled for Dec. 19 in Keaau but was cancelled to allow it to be held in Pahoa.
The roundabout would be built at the intersection of Keaau-Pahoa Road and Pahoa Village Road.
The $5 million project is expected to begin this summer and would to take a year to complete. A detour would be set up through Kahakai Boulevard and Pahoa Village Road.
