Small earthquake rattles Big Island
HILO, Hawaii (AP) — A small earthquake has rattled the Big Island near Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.
The Hawaii Police Department says it has received no calls or reports of damage from the magnitude 3.5 temblor that struck at 2:10 a.m. Saturday. The U.S. Geological Survey says the quake was centered about 49 miles southwest of Hilo and was about 4.3 miles deep.
The USGS website reports the quake was felt as far away as Wailuku.
