Two lanes open on Kilauea Avenue
The county Department of Public Works said in a written statement Tuesday that there are now two lanes open, one in each direction on Kilauea Avenue in Hilo.
Resurfacing on Kilauea from Kukuau Street to Alenai‘o Bridge is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 19. No street parking will be allowed at this time. Parking is scheduled to be restored that evening, or the following day.
The work schedule is Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., and if roadwork occurs on weekends or holidays, the schedule will be 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Roadwork is weather permitting.
