2 injured in Waipahu bank shooting
WAIPAHU, Hawaii (AP) — Authorities are searching for a masked man who shot and injured two people Friday night at a Waipahu bank.
The Honolulu Star-Advertiser (http://bit.ly/LpG7YV ) reports police say it appears the gunman came up from behind as a 39-year-old man was making a deposit, opened fire and fled.
The man and a 40-year-old woman with him at the Bank of Hawaii drove to a nearby Farrington Highway restaurant for help and were taken to a hospital in serious condition.
The newspaper reports at least five bullet holes could be seen in the car driven by the victims. Police have opened a first-degree attempted murder case.
