Body found believed to be missing Maui woman

WAILUKU, Maui (AP) — Maui police say the body found at the base of a rocky cliff is believed to be a woman recently reported missing.

Alexandra Dunyasheva was reported missing by a friend Saturday. She was last seen two days before walking at the top of the property where she lives in Wailuku.

Police say crew members conducting an aerial search of the coastline in the Kalepa Gulch area on Sunday spotted a body at the base of a 100-foot rocky cliff.

Police say the body matches her description. Positive identification is pending and an autopsy was scheduled for Monday.
