Born in Honokaa, she was a retired bartender at the Courtyard Marriott King Kamehameha’s Kona Beach Hotel, member of the Kai O Pua Canoe Club, St. Michael’s Catholic Church and ILWU. Friends may call 4 p.m. Friday at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 74-574 Honokohau St., Kailua-Kona; mass at 6 p.m. Scattering of ashes at 12 noon Saturday in Kailua Bay. Casual attire. Milton Rapozo Branco, Sr., 89, of Hilo died March 29 at home. Born in Hilo, he was a retired surveyor for Murray, Smith & Associates, Inc., a U.S. Army veteran, and member of the Portuguese Golf Club. Visitation 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hilo; Mass at 10:30 a.m. Burial of the urn will follow at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery #2 in Hilo. Casual attire. Jerry Koichi Takahama, 69, of Hilo, died April 6 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Pearl City, he was a retired mechanic. Private services held. Mariano “Pancho” Reclusado Burcena Jr., 61, of Kailua-Kona died March 26 in Ocean View. Born in Keaau, he was a Mason in the BAC Local 1 and worked for Isemoto Contracting. Friends may call 10 a.m. to 11 a.m Saturday at Borthwick Hawaii Funeral Home; service at 11 a.m. Survived by mother Julita (Rudy Sr.) Silan of San Diego; sons, Chastin Burcena, Kekai (Joanne Maltezo) Burcena and Kemakana Burcena, all of Kailua-Kona, and Mario (Christy Pagala) Burcena III of Kurtistown; daughters, Dana Burcena (Joey) Decosta of Las Vegas, Marissa Burcena of Pahoa, Christina (Eddie Kuahiwinui) Burcena of Ocean View, Anissa Burcena of Kailua-Kona; hanai daughter Jenawae (Joshua) Pacatang of Kailua-Kona; brothers, Rudolf Silan of San Diego, Marvin Burcena of Honolulu, Keneth Burcena of Honolulu; sisters Patricia Amina of Kailua-Kona, Jessica Baskett of San Diego, Carol Otake of Washington, Maria Kristine Burcena of Washington; 17 grandchilren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunties, uncles.
