Annalynn Aiona-Tailan, 53, of Hilo died April 12 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, she was a waitress and homemaker. Friends may call from 9-11 a.m. Thursday at Dodo Mortuary chapel in Hilo; Memorial service at 11 a.m. Luncheon to follow. Casual attire. Survived by husband, Wesley Tailan of Hilo; sons, Richard (Linnea) Kamau III and Justin Tailan, both of Hilo; daughters, Lienna (Gerald) Sakado of Kohala, Stephanie (Otis) Emch of Honolulu, Caitlin Tailan of Hilo, Denise (Raymond) Tailan of Kona, Raquel (Angelica) Tailan, Sharla Tailan, and Corajean (Manny) Diverson of Las Vegas, Nev.; brother, Israel (Genivieve) Aiona of Hilo; sister, Lindyann Aiona of Hilo; numerous grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Donald Ervin DeTray, 95, of Hilo died April 5 at his home in Bayshore Towers, Hilo. Born in Napoleon, Ohio, he was a veterinarian. As he requested, his ashes were scattered in Hilo Bay in a traditional Hawaiian canoe ceremony on Friday, April 12. Survived by brother, Norman DeTray, of Napoleon, Ohio; sons, Dennis de Tray of Mclean, Va., and Stephen DeTray of Tacoma, Wash.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
