Clarence A. Andrade, 73, of Pahala, died March 11, 2013 at home. Born in Pahala, he was a retired building and maintenance worker for the County of Hawaii Department of Parks and Recreation, a mechanic and bulldozer operator for Ka’u Andrade Contracting, Inc., a veteran in the United States Army National Guard and member of Pahala Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Friends may call Saturday, April 13, 2013 at the Pahala Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Visitation from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.; mass at 10 a.m. Urn committal to follow at the Pahala Catholic Cemetery; gathering to follow at Pahala Community Center. Franklin Kipilii, 83, of Hilo died Mar. 26 at the Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. Born in Kurtistown, he was a retired bailiff for the State of Hawaii and U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
