Tatsuki Kusunoki, 92, of Holualoa died July 12 at Nakamaru Hale in Holualoa. Born in Kealakekua, he was a retired mason and coffee farmer; a member of the mason’s union, Kahaluu Kumiai, Hiroshima Kenjin Kai and Daifukuji Soto Mission. Friends may call at 3 p.m. Saturday at Daifukuji Soto Mission in Honalo for a 4 p.m. service. Casual attire; no flowers. Survived by son, Garrett (Arlene) Kusunoki of Kailua-Kona; daughter, Corrine Kusunoki of Kahaluu Mauka; brother, Mitsuyuki (Joyce) Kusunoki of Westgate, Calif.; sisters, Mieko (James) Sato of Keei, Momoya (James) Ritenour of Woodland Hills, Calif., Harumi Shigetomi of Honolulu; two grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Bunichi “Butch” Usagawa, 92, of Hilo died Aug. 14 at Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Center. Born in Hilo, he was a retired state forest ranger and member of Kaumana 1 Mile Kumiai and Palm Society. Friends may call noon-1 p.m. Sunday at Dodo Mortuary Chapel in Hilo; funeral at 1 p.m. Burial to follow at 3:30 p.m. at Alae Cemetery Section H. Casual attire. Survived by son, Barry (Sharon) Usagawa of Kaneohe, Oahu; daughter, Ann (Stephen Nemeth) Usagawa of Hilo; sister, Kay (Joe) Yamauchi of Hilo; sister-in-law, Harue Nakahara of Hilo; four grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
