Marshall Sadao Okuno, 60, of Hilo died Aug. 5 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, he was a wastewater operations supervisor with the County of Hawaii Department of Environmental Management, and a member of Piihonua Community Association and Big Island Golf Club. Friends may call from 2:30-4 p.m. Sunday at Dodo Mortuary chapel in Hilo; Memorial service at 4 p.m. Casual attire. Survived by son, Matt Okuno of Hilo; mother, Amy Okuno of Kealakekua; sister, Marleen Okuno of Kealakekua; companion, Debbie Takehiro Ombac of Hilo; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.
Clarence Joji Ono, 78, of Hilo died July 30 at the Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Honolulu, he was an aeronautical engineer for Rocketdyne and the proprietor of Kona Orchids. Private services held. No koden. Survived by sisters, Sylvia Harada of Honolulu, Florence (Richard) Nishii-Ekimoto of Honolulu, Majorie (Yoshio) Watanabe of Hilo, and Barbara Sasaki of Honolulu; numerous nieces and nephews.
