Mary Alber Alakoa, 45, of Waikoloa, died Jan. 12 at North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born in Kosrae, Micronesia, she was a housewife and a member of the Kosrae Kona Congregational Church. Friends may call at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Kosrae Kona Congregational Church in Kailua-Kona; 11 a.m. funeral service with burial to follow at Kona Memorial Park. Casual attire; flowers welcome. Survived by husband, Alber Alokoa of Waikoloa; son, Livingston (Nedilisa) Alokoa of Waikoloa; daughter, Angily (William) Abraham of Waikoloa; mother; Melisa Sigrah of Waikoloa; brothers, Raymond (Lelean) Sigrah of Kosrae, Micronesia, Fred Sigrah of Portland, Ore., and Jack (Shure) Sigrah, Robert (Wanda) Sigrah, Bob (Batshiba) Sigrah, John (Wanda) Sigrah and Kun (Leilani) Sigrah, all of Waikoloa; sisters, Edwina (Wright) Abraham and Lurlyn (Bensily) Jerry, all of Kosrae, Micronesia, and Wanda Sigrah of Waikoloa; three grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Gloria Lea Kaiser Roper, 72, of Pepeekeo died Jan. 15 at her home. Born in Portland, Ore., she was an artist and collector. Private services for family and friends.
