Ruth Muramaru, 73, of Honolulu died Jan. 3 at Kuakini Medical Center in Honolulu. Born in Hilo, she was a retired public school teacher and speech therapist. Visitation 5-6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29 at Hosoi Garden Mortuary in Honolulu. Service at 6 p.m. Casual attire; no flowers. Survived by husband, George Muramaru; sons, Keith Masui and Dean Masui; stepsons, Dunn Muramaru and Gordon Muramaru; sister, Kay Hatayama; four grandchildren. Arrangements by Hosoi Garden Mortuary.
