Shuji Tatsutani, 73, of Hilo, died Jan. 15 at home. Born in Hakalau, he was a retired self-employed general contractor. Private services held. Survived by wife, Thelma Tatsutani of Hilo; sons, Craig (Young Choi) Tatsutani and Chris Tatsutani, both of Hilo; daughter, Wendy Tatsutani of Hilo; brothers, Chiso Tatsutani of Pepeekeo and Lionel (Elaine) Tatsutani of Kona; sisters, Jane (Satoshi) Ota of Hilo and Jean Tatsutani of Waipahu, Oahu; mother-in-law, Fujie Hirayama of Papaikou; sisters-in-law, Leatrice Tatsutani of Hilo, Elsie (Roy) Oka of Pepeekeo and Myrtle Hirayama of Honolulu; brothers-in-law, Raymond (Dinah) Hirayama and Wayne Hirayama, both of Honolulu, and Paul (Mei Jayne) Hirayama of Honomu; a grandson, numerous nieces and nephews. Ernest “Pops” Napua Kalehua Kai Sr., 79, of Hilo is survived by son, Ernest (Melanie) Kai Jr. of Las Vegas, Nev. Incorrect information appeared in an obituary published Friday.
