Chiyoko Kono Hamai, 100, of Honolulu died May 20 at the Infante Foster Care Home. Born in Hilo, she was a retired sales clerk at Helen’s Fabric. Private services held. Survived by sons, Albert T. (Renee) Hamai of Honolulu, Ernest O. Hamai of Honolulu; daughter, Nancy M. Ikuta of Honolulu; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Kimiko Matsumoto of California, Amy Enright of California; and caregiver, Isabel Infante of Honolulu.

Harry Urise Hillen Jr., 71, of Honolulu and formerly of Kaunakakai, Molokai, and Kawaihae on the Big Island, died April 17 in Honolulu. Born in Harrisburg, Penn., he was a retired dredge mate from Operating Engineers. Memorial services to be held Saturday, June 9, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Hawaii Kai. Visitation 10 a.m. Service at 11 a.m. Private inurnment to be held at Hawaiian Memorial Park. No flowers. Survived by wife, Erla M. Hillen; daughters, Paula “Lani” Follner, Cynthia Seno and Desiree Hillen; son, Chadd M. Hillen; brothers, Otto, Thurston, Frederick and Allisson Hillen; sister, Amy Kululoia; and four grandchildren. Shizue Oshita, 95, of Hilo died May 29 at Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Center. Born in Honomu, she retired as a homemaker. Celebration of life at Borthwick Hawaii Funeral Home on Saturday, June 9. Alexander Junichi Watanabe, 88, of Honokaa, died May 27 at North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born in Honuapo (a.k.a Naalehu), Ka‘u, he retired as a cultivation supervisor for Hamakua Sugar Company. Shirley Ann Yamaoka-Greig, 73, of Hilo died May 23 at the Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, she was a retired Registered Nurse at the Life Care Center of Hilo, former instructor at the University of Hawaii-Hilo and former member of the Hilo Community College Nursing School Advisory Board. Friends may call 4:30-6 p.m. Tuesday (June 5, 2012) at the Glad Tidings Church located at 113 Kuawa St. A celebration of her life will take place at 6 p.m. Casual attire. No flowers.
