Craig Cathcart Painter, 57, of Mountain View died May 30 at home. Born in London, England, he was a carpenter and drywall installer. Private services. Survived by daughter, Joy (Joe Thrasher) Painter of Kailua-Kona; brothers, Michael (Rosie) Potts of Kaneohe, Darryl Painter of Kaneohe; sister, Sharlene (Mark Ling) of Aina Haina, Oahu; a grandson, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Atchuo Ueta Palik, 27, of Kailua-Kona died May 17 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Kosrae, Micronesia, he was a kitchen helper at Wendy’s restaurant and member of the Kosrae Kona Organization and Kosrae Congregational Church. Friends may call at 8 a.m. Friday at the Kosrae Congregational Church in Kalaoa, Kona; service at 10 a.m. Burial to follow in the Waimea county cemetery. Casual attire. Flowers welcome. Survived by mother, Nita Freddy of Kailua-Kona; adoptive mother, Linne Palik of Honolulu; brothers, Casey (Tricia) Freddy, Winton (Minnie) Freddy, Freddy(Pauline) Freddy, Justin Freddy, all of Kailua-Kona, and Tulensa (Meriam) Skilling of Kosrae, Micornesia; sisters, Michigo (Rensley) Thompson of Kailua-Kona, Kimie (Alokoa) Sigrah of Kosrae, Gazaia Freddy of Nauru, Micronesia; step-brothers, Tulensa Palik and Tholman Palik, both of Texas, Samuel (Clara) Palik and Jacob Palik, all of Kosrae; step-sister, Lucy (Hobson) Abraham of Honolulu; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mona DeMello Pierson, 72, of Portland, Ore., formerly of Hilo, died April 29 in Portland. Her full name was not published in Sunday’s obituary.
