Wallace Edwin Botelho, 81, of Halaula, died March 1 at Kohala Hospital. Born in Kapaau, he was a former carpenter for Kohala Sugar Plantation, a ranch supervisor for Stillman Ranch in Kaauhuhu Homestead and was a retired DAGS maintenance man for the state of Hawaii. He was a lifelong elder and member of the Kohala Seventh Day Adventist Church. Visitation at 8 a.m. Sunday at the Kohala Seventh Day Adventist Church in Hawi, followed by 10:30 a.m. memorial service; inurnment to follow in the church’s cemetery. Casual attire. John Rosario, 62, of Mountain View died Oct. 29 at Sunrise Hospital Center in Las Vegas, Nev. Born in Hilo, he was a cement driver for Yamada & Sons Enterprise, a truck driver for Big Island excavating of Keaau, a truck driver for Rosario’s Rubbish Removal of Keaau, a member of ILWU Local 142 of Hawaii, and had many other jobs driving trucks on Oahu. No funeral service to be held. Memorial service/celebration on Saturday, March 23, at Eagle’s Clubhouse in Keaau, from 4-10 p.m. Casual attire.
