Sadako “Mary” Muramoto, 87, of Papaikou died Oct. 5 in Hilo. Born in Papaikou, she was a retired surgical nurse for Hilo Hospital. She was also a member of Papaikou Hongwanji Mission, Honomu Henjoji Mission (Honomu Odaishisan), Tenrikyo Big Island Church, Hawaii Government Employees Association Retirees and Saint Francis Nursing Association. Friends may call from 4-5 p.m. Sunday at Dodo Mortuary chapel in Hilo; memorial service at 5 p.m. Casual attire. Survived by brother, Glenn M. Muramoto of Las Vegas; sister, Roxana M. (Lester) Uchima of Hilo; nephew, Terence (Theresa) Takiue of Hilo; niece, Merle (George) Santos of Papaikou; grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.
Ronnie Anthony “Stong” Paro, 61, of Waimea is survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Information was omitted from an obituary published Monday. The Tribune-Herald regrets the error.
