Paul John Cooper, 44, of Hilo died Aug. 27 in Hilo. Born in Anchorage, Alaska, he was a professional seaman and tankerman. No services. Survived by parents, John Purley Cooper III and Brigitte Sekirka Cooper; brother, Timm Ashley Cooper; aunts, uncles and cousins. Arrangements by A Hui Hou Crematory & Funeral Home of West Hawaii.

Sally Sugse, 73, of Kapaau died Sunday at North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born in Halaula, she was a homemaker and member of Kohala Seventh-day Adventist Church. Visitation 3 p.m. Friday at Kohala Seventh-day Adventist Church. Service at 4 p.m. Lei and flowers welcome. Survived by son, Kiyomasa (Visie) Nakamura of Stockton, Calif.; daughter, Arleen (Greg Adams) Nakamura of Santa Rosa, Calif.; stepsons, Braddon Sugse and Gregory Sugse of North Kohala, Lennon Sugse of Honolulu, Tony Sugse of Waimea; stepdaughter, Darlene Paracuelles of Honolulu; sisters, Lillian (Phil) Pacheco of Long Beach, Calif., Daisy Thompson of Las Vegas and Rose Scott of Ewa Beach, Oahu; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, numerous step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Arrangements by Cremation Services of West Hawaii.

Ronald James “Kela” Paiva is survived by, among others, Susan (Tony) Pavao of Oahu. Incomplete information appeared in obituary published Sunday.

Antone “Tony” Santos Jr., lived in Kohala and was a retired golf course manager for Mauna Kea Beach Resort. Visitation 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29 at Spencer Beach Park main pavilion. Service at 10 a.m. An obituary published Wednesday had incomplete and incorrect information.

Yoshiko Yamasaki is a sister of Hiroo “Porky” Furuya, who died Aug. 29. Her name was misspelled in an obituary published Wednesday.
