Leroy “Roy” Calvin Christenson Jr., 63, of Nanawale died Aug. 29 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Nevada City, Calif., he was the retired owner of Vintage Hawaiian Clothing Store in Hilo. No services. Survived by wife, Deborah Christenson of Nanawale; son, Levi (Shannon) Christenson of Haleiwa, Oahu; daughters, Annette Christenson of Maui and Connie Ramey Christenson of Pahoa; brother, Jeff Christenson of California; sisters, Cindy Thomas and Julie (John) Taylor, both of California; 10 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Virginia Ann Willacker, 69, of Hilo died Aug. 30 at her daughter’s residence in Keaau. Born in Pahala, she was a retired homemaker. Private services held. Survived by husband, Robert Willacker of Hilo; mother, Virginia Enos of Hilo; daughter, Cheryl (Shellford, Sr.) Cantan of Keaau; sons, Loren Danford, Jr. of Hilo and James (Valerie) Enos of Hilo; sisters, Eloise (Stanley) Pavao of Hilo and Rosemary Keawe of Keaau; brother, Anthony (Judy) Enos of Michigan; 10 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mary “Poki” Ann Goold, 84, of Kailua-Kona, died Tuesday at Life Care Center of Kona. Born in Los Angeles, she was a homemaker, chef and owner of Poki’s Pasta and Poki’s at Dorian’s, former cook for King Kamehameha Hotel, and chef for the former Red Pants Bar, Kona Steakhouse, Kona Daze, Jose’s and Keauhou Country Club Restaurant. She was also a new restaurant consultant. A celebration of life will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at Kona Outdoor Circle. Casual attire; flowers OK. Survived by husband, Bob Goold of Kailua-Kona; sons, Steve (Linda) Goold of Lake Forest, Calif., Craig (Erina) Goold of Bora Bora, Tahiti, Joe Goold of Bora Bora, Tahiti, Kelly (Leona) Goold of Waimea and Bruce (Maile) Goold of Las Vegas; daughters, Cheri (Arthur) Mandaquit of Kailua-Kona, Sue (Blue) Fronda of Holualoa; 16 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Arrangements by Cremation Services of West Hawaii.
