Wayne Louis Hoppe, 77, of Keaau died Sept. 19 at home. Born in Harlem, Mont., he was a retired heavy equipment mechanic, member of the Operating Engineers Local 302 and a U.S. Navy veteran. Private services. Survived by wife, Susan Hoppe of Keaau; daughters, Kristy Hoppe of Keaau and Terri (John Swart) Peterson of Washington; sons, Jerry (Maggie) Lane of Colorado and Guy (Amy) Sutherland of Washington; hanai son, Bryan Luker of Keaau; sister-in-law, Harriet Hoppe of Maui; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.
Services for Betty S.Y. Muramoto are Wednesday, Oct. 3, from 10-11 a.m. at Hilo Honpa Hongwanji Mission in downtown Hilo. An obituary published Wednesday had an incorrect date.
