Tennis event Friday
at Edith Kanaka‘ole
The East Hawaii District Tennis Association will hold its annual fun night from 6-10 p.m. from Friday at the Edith Kanaka‘ole Multipurpose Stadium.
There will be a brief general membership meeting followed by tennis games, food, and prizes for participants.
All United States Tennis Association prospective members are invited to participate.

Hawaii Island Hoops
clinics this weekend
Hawaii Island Hoops is holding registration for clinics that will be held from 9 a.m.-noon on Saturday and Sunday at the Kekuaokalani Gym in Kailua-Kona.
The Skills Training Academy is open to boys and girls ages 8-17 at all levels.
According to a release the clinics “will teach daily workouts that include speed, agility, quickness, ball handling and shooting clinics. These fundamental training workouts are specifically designed to provide you with the tools to improve your game and take it to another level.”

clinic set for Saturday
Hawaii Island Sports Officials Association coordinator Mason Souza will hold a game management clinic from 8:30-11:30 a.m. at Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium.
Players from Pearl City and Baldwin high schools will scrimmage as part of the clinic.

Big Dog 5K Run/Walk
is slated for Dec. 30
The Big Dog Resolution 5K Run/Walk will be held at 8 a.m. Dec. 30 starting at the Coconut Island parking lot.
The fee is $5 or a canned good, and all proceeds benefit the Hawaii Island Food Basket.
