Keaau’s Cliff Eriksson and Konawaena’s Lia Galdeira were named the Big Island Interscholastic Federation’s male and female track and field athletes of the year for their performances at the BIIF championships.
For guiding their teams to league titles, Keaau’s Vicky Chai-Guerpo was the BIIF boys coach of the year while Konawaena coach Kuulei Saole took the girls honor.
