Honokaa defeats Pahoa 22-3
Kaitlin Agustin struck out three in a complete game and collected three hits at the plate as Honokaa bested Pahoa 22-3 on Wednesday in a Big Island Interscholastic Federation softball game at the Daggers field.
Kayla Requelman finished with her second consecutive three-hit game for the Dragons (2-2 Division II, 5-2 overall) in a contest that ended after five innings because of the mercy rule.
Precious Palea-Enos and Chasity Nickel added two hits apiece for Honokaa, which erased an early 2-0 deficit by erupting for 10 runs in the second inning en route to its fifth win in six games.
Agustin allowed only three hits and two walks.
Ranchell Berinobis finished with two hits for the Daggers (1-4 Division II, 2-7). Mackenzie Singleton took the loss, pitching 3 1/3 innings and walking 10 batters.
