Positive Coaching workshop on tap
A Positive Coaching workshop for parents will be held Jan. 9 at the Aunty Sally’s Luau House. Registration starts at 5:30 p.m. and the workshop is from 6-8 p.m.

RBI girls softball
The RBI girls softball team will hold sign-ups for the 2013 season from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 13 at 700 Manono St. (look for the RBI banner) in Hilo.

The American Youth Soccer Organization is looking for players and volunteers for the spring season, and player registration is ongoing until Jan. 15.
Players must be 4 years old by March 19. Mail $60 and a registration form to AYSO PO Box 5000, Hilo, HI 9 6720.

Viking tryouts set
Tryouts for the Hilo High School junior varsity softball team will begin at 5 p.m. Jan. 3 at Keaukaha and continue Jan. 4 at Carvalho Park.
Hilo High School JV baseball will begin tryouts at 3:30 p.m. Jan. 7 at Wong Stadium.

Tennis Fun Day
Due to the closing of the Indoor Tennis Stadium, we have rescheduled the East Hawaii District Tennis Association’s year end Fun Day and general membership meeting to Sat. Jan. 5, 2013 from 1:00-4:00pm at the Hilo Intermediate Hala`i Tennis Courts. There will be food, drills by Randy Kunimoto and tennis games with prizes for participants. If it rains, we will still be having food and prizes under the covered pavilion near the courts so please attend rain or shine. Call Peter Tadaki (935-8826) for further information.
