Pot choppers flying in Puna

The state Narcotics Enforcement Administration is flying marijuana eradication missions on the Big Island through Wednesday, a Hawaii Police Department spokeswoman said Tuesday morning.

The Tribune-Herald received reports from several individuals of low-flying helicopters in Hawaiian Paradise Park on Tuesday morning.

The spokeswoman said that residents can call the NEA at (808) 551-9984 to report noise disturbances.
