Hilo Little League sign-ups
Hilo Little League registration for baseball and softball is ongoing through Feb. 28.
There is a new baseball division for players ages 12-13 utilizing a 50-foot pitching distance and 70-foot base paths that will include a postseason tournament and World Series.
Softball sign-ups are being held for four divisions in ahes 12-18.
Player registration and medical forms, proofs of residency requirements and manager or coach applications can be obtained for both baseball and softball by visiting www.hilo littleleague.com or calling 987-8469.
Feb. 15 is the deadline to apply, and late applicants will be placed on a wait list.
40-over adult tennis league
The East Hawaii District’s adult 40 and over league is scheduled for January 11-March 30, with matches in singles and doubles for 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, and 4.5-plus for separate men’s and women’s teams.
The captains’ meeting will be held at 9 a.m. Jan. 4 at the University of at Hilo athletic complex.

Big Island Junior golf meeting
The Big Island Junior Golf Association will be holding a meeting at 6 p.m. Jan. 7 at the Hawaii County Aupuni Center conference room.
