Man jailed for attempted murder
A 58-year-old Keaau man was arrested Thursday night in Orchidland Estates for investigation of attempted murder.
Joseph Feliciano was taken into custody at around 9:30 p.m. at an address on Aulii Street that police said was Feliciano’s home.
A 48-year-old woman, who police said was an acquaintance of Feliciano’s, reportedly received facial injuries in the incident.
Police said Friday morning that Feliciano is not the Big Island police officer of the same name.
Police are also investigating possible charges of second-degree assault, resisting arrest and terroristic threatening.
No other details were immediately made available.
