Judith Kuia Ahmoy Ching Ah Sam, 74, of Halaula died Dec. 30 at her residence. Born in Honolulu, she was a retired teacher, and a member of the Tong Wo Society and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Fusako “Bernie” Matsumura, 95, of Hilo died Jan. 1 at the Life Care Center of Hilo.
