Junior guard Shaun Kagawa scored 20 points and three Kamehameha seniors also scored in double figures Monday night to help the Warriors remain unbeaten in the Big Island Interscholastic Federation with a 75-49 victory against Waiakea.
Kaeo Alapai scored 14 points, Lanaki Apele added 12 and Jacob Kackley chipped in with 11 as Kamehameha (5-0) broke open the Division I boys basketball game in the first quarter, cruising to a 22-point halftime lead at Waiakea Gym.
Sophomore Lucas St. George led Waiakea (1-3) with 20 points, and senior Rylan Kawazoe had 10.
In the junior varsity game, Kyle Kua-Ramirez scored 13 points to lead Waiakea to a 46-42 victory.
