“We meet quarterly to share knowledge and talk story. We welcome all woodworkers, collectors, foresters and wood enthusiasts,” said the spokesman.
The Hawaii Wood Guild will launch its 26th Annual Juried Exhibit — now in its third year at the Isaacs Art Center in Waimea — with an opening reception at 5 p.m. Saturday.
Come and meet the woodworkers and see who wins this year’s awards.
“You’ll experience the finest woodworking on the island, and all of the work is available for purchase,” said a spokesman.
The exhibit will be open for viewing from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays until Feb. 25.
Admission to the gallery is free.
The Isaacs Art Center, which is part of Hawaii Preparatory Academy, is at 65-1268 Kawaihae Road.
The Hawaii Wood Guild is a nonprofit membership organization dedicated to increasing awareness for the art of fine woodworking and to protecting Hawaii’s forests.
