Vereen, 65, won a Tony Award for his role in “Pippin” and has twice been nominated for a Golden Globe. His notable film performances include a role in “All That Jazz.”

“There are few entertainers today as accomplished or versatile as Ben Vereen,” said Lee Dombroski, Performing Arts Center manager. “Mr. Vereen’s legendary performances transcend time and have been woven into the fabric of this country’s artistic legacy. He says his first love and passion is, and always will be, the stage.”
