Renee Juanita Mahealani Trask, 54, of Hilo died Jan. 18 at home. Born in San Francisco, she was an executive secretary for the Gibson Foundation and Mililani Trask, She was a Board Member of Kako’o Ka ‘Umeke Ka’eo, secretary for Big Island Fishing Association; and financial officer for Pono Kaulike. Public services at a later date. Survived by husband, Michael Kaukaohu Trask of Hilo; son, Ka’iana Kaukaohu Trask of Hilo; daughter, Hulali Kaikeaimahealani Trask of Hilo; father, Peter Murchison of California; grandmother, Juanita Knight of Reno, Nev.; brother, Robert Murchison of California; numerous family members. Nolan Kahoonewanewaonalani Hao, 49, of Orchidland died Jan. 11 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Kealakekua, he was a musician in the original Ho’aikane band, a heavy equipment operator for Big Island Construction, laborer for Ishii Construction, truck driver for Grace Pacific, landscaper for Four Seasons Resort and member of Kai ‘Opua Canoe Club and Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Visitation 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 28 at Puuanahulu Community Center, 71-1449 Mamalahoa Hwy. in Puuanahulu. Memorial service at 11 a.m. Casual attire; flowers welcome. Survived by sons, Austin Hao of Orchidland and Aidan Hao of Hawaiian Beaches; hanai son, Tevin Tuvera of Hawaiian Beaches; brothers, David (Kelley) Hao and Roman (Auhea) Hao of Waimea; sisters, Irene Hao of Ka’u, Euvonne Hao of Paauilo and Tracy Mae Hao of Puuanahulu; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
