Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 at the door, and are available at the Palace Theater box office, which is open from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday-Friday. Tickets can also be purchased with a credit card by calling The Palace office at 934-7010. The box office will open at 6 p.m. on the night of the concert.

The Makaha Sons will be returning to Hilo for their annual Valentine’s Day concert on Saturday, Feb. 11, at 7 p.m. at the Palace Theater.

The Makaha Sons have been singing traditional Hawaiian music in Hawaii and throughout the world for more than 30 years.

Louis “Moon” Kauakahi plays the six-string guitar and is the group’s leader, arranger and composer. Jerome “Boogie” Koko plays the 12-string guitar and is the group’s quick and witty comedian. Finally, there is the master of the upright base, John Koko.
