Alan Dahl Greenwell, 67, of Captain Cook died Feb. 6 at home. Born in Salt Lake City, he was a chief pilot for the Honolulu Fire Department, County of Honolulu, a member of Christ Church Episcopal, Kona Historical Society and a U.S. Army veteran. Friends may call at 10 a.m. Feb. 13 at Christ Church Episcopal in Kealakekua for a memorial service and reception. Casual attire; no flowers. Memorial donations suggested to Hospice of Kona or Christ Church Episcopal. He is survived by his wife, Patsy Greenwell of Captain Cook; daughter, Anne (Justin) Pitts of Captain Cook; two granddaughters; one niece; one nephew and numerous cousins.
