The Keaukaha Warriors and Keaukaha Legends continued their winnings ways in the Hawaii AJA Memorial Baseball League last week.

The Warriors (9-1 overall, 4-0) remained undefeated in the second round with a 9-5 victory Tuesday over the Corsairs at Wong Stadium, while the Legends (6-3, 3-1) dropped the Waiakea Pirates 5-4 last Sunday.

After a week off, the Warriors and Legends will play at 10 a.m. Feb. 19.


Warriors 9, Corsairs 5: Kele Coloma drove in the go-ahead run in the sixth inning, finishing 3 for 3 with two runs scored, and Kiley Kawazoe and Chad Canda each drove in two runs.

Cortney Arruda struck out six in 31/3 shutout innings to run his record to 5-0, allowing a hit with four walks.

The Corsairs (0-4, 0-10) collected 12 hits. Michael Sayaboc was 2 for 4 with an RBI, Robbie Meguro also went 2 for 4, and Kylen Uyeda and Aidan Nakamura each were 2 for 5. Pono Correa had a two-run double.

Meguro (0-3) took the loss in relief.

Legends 5, Pirates 4: Korin Medeiros was 2 for 4 and Kean Wong hit an RBI triple and scored twice.

Randall Iha (1-0) gave up three hits and two runs in two innings of relief but got the win, and Korin Medeiros got the last out for the save.

Cade Uyetake (2 for 5) hit a pair of run-scoring singles for the Pirates (1-4, 4-5), and Thad Estrada was 2 for 4.

Starter Darren Takasaki (1-3) struck six over six innings, but allowed eight hits and five runs — four earned — with a walk.

The Pirates and Corsairs play at 1 p.m. Feb. 19.
