BALTIMORE — Spicemaker McCormick and Company Inc. says it’s returning to Baltimore’s Inner Harbor.
McCormick says it will open its first retail location, named McCormick World of Flavors, in the Light Street pavilion at Harborplace. The new location will be steps away from the site of McCormick’s former plant and headquarters that closed in 1989 and is remembered by many for the aroma it sent across the waterfront.
McCormick, based in Sparks, says the 3,800-square-foot retail outlet will feature cooking demonstrations with celebrity and company chefs. It will also have interactive and educational displays that will allow visitors to determine their personal flavor profile and gift and specialty cooking items.
