Robert “Haole Boy” Raymond Bean, 65, of Kailua-Kona, died Feb. 8 at home. Born in Oakland, Calif., he was was a charter boat business owner and captain, member of Kona Charter Skippers Association, Kona Fil Am, Kona Centrals, and Kona Ali’i Softball team, Kona Iki Trollers, Solid Rock Ministry and a lifetime member of Kai O Pua Canoe Club.
