Police have arrested a 34-year-old woman for allegedly pointing an air rifle at passersby Wednesday afternoon near the end of Highway 130 in Kalapana.
Officers responding to a 5:30 p.m. report arrested Welo Kuuipo Dela Cruz of Kalapana without incident and recovered the weapon.
Hilo detectives opened a terroristic threatening investigation and released Dela Cruz without charging her.
