Honokaa edged Kapaa 1-0 on Feb. 18 in the finals of the Hawaii High School Athletic Association state Division II boys soccer championships on Oahu. Nino Quijano’s goal in the 73rd minute gave the Dragons, under head coach Maurice Miranda and assistants Geri Moniz and Mark Miranda, their second straight state D-II crown. Members of the Dragons include Alden Aguirre, Jon De Coito, Seanry Agbayani, Robert Connors, Pedro Sanches, Dylan Shiraki, Clayton Robinson, Joel Shoemaker-Hassey, Nino Quijano, Joshua Tobias, Chayce Moniz, Tony Connors, Justin Warren, Brandon Gomez, Aukanaii Kapu, Kodi Dean Springer, Kekoa Phenicie, Rhell Yamamoto, Sean Quinlan, Ristan Matias, Lloyd Edwards, Dylan Oandasan, Gavin Laird, Maikai Coelho, Elzer Maltezo and Sean Perala.
