Jean “Jeannie” Yvonne Matthews, 70, of Kealakekua died March 9 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Hilo, she was a retired assistant manager for King Kamehameha’s Kona Beach Hotel and front desk manager for the former Kona Hilton Hotel and Pacific Empress Hotel.
