Charles Connor Cowpland, 84, of Papaikou died Saturday, March 31, at his residence. Born in Dallas, Texas, he was commercial fisher and the captain of “Finest Kind” boat. He was a member of the Hilo Trollers and a veteran of the U.S. Army during WWII and the Korean War. Private services. Contributions can be made to Hospice of Hilo.
