The Life Care Center of Hilo at 944 W. Kawailani St. will celebrate Nursing Home Week during the second week in May, with lots of festivities planned for the residents and their families.
The Life Care Center of Hilo at 944 W. Kawailani St. will celebrate Nursing Home Week during the second week in May, with lots of festivities planned for the residents and their families.
In addition, the staff will offer several free community services from 3-5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 8. Nurses will be available for blood pressure screenings, social service workers will perform memory checks and the rehabilitation staff will conduct balance checks. At 6 p.m. that day, Derek Kurisu and George Yoshida of the local cable television show Seniors Living in Paradise will give a free food demonstration.
Tours of the center’s newly renovated out-patient rehabilitation facility will be provided by appointment throughout the second week in May.
