Hilo’s Farm Supply Cooperative will celebrate Earth Day Friday and Saturday with displays, a sidewalk sale and free samples of freshly brewed organic compost tea fertilizer, while supply lasts. Hours will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday.
Those interested in obtaining a free sample of the compost tea are encouraged to bring their own quart container. Founder and former CEO Jack Bates is an FSC member and will be on hand to assist and distribute the samples.
Founded in 2000, FSC is a member-driven cooperative featuring a large variety of nursery and garden needs, including a large organic product selection featuring its signature Down To Earth organic line.
