The 8th annual Hilo Huli will feature a record 23 food and beverage stations, as local chefs present their favorite specialty dishes at the popular Rotary Club of South Hilo benefit from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sunday, May 6, on Coconut Island.

The 8th annual Hilo Huli will feature a record 23 food and beverage stations, as local chefs present their favorite specialty dishes at the popular Rotary Club of South Hilo benefit from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sunday, May 6, on Coconut Island.

Food vendors participating this year include AJ&Sons Catering, Kilauea Lodge, LaRay’s Mexican Taco Plus, Sweet Thunder Sushi, Hilo Yacht Club, Hilo Hawaiian Hotel, Aloha Monday, Short N Sweet, Sombats, Hilo Rice Noodle, Le Magic Pan Crepes, Seaside Restaurant, Cafe Pesto, Cousins Seafood and Bento, Soontaree’s, Atebara Hawaiian Products, Ono Kine Bentos and Miriam Bakery.

Live entertainment will be provided by The Elena Welch Jazz+Blues Quartet, acoustic alternative guitar duo Two Souls and Ben Kaili playing Hawaiian music.

Tickets are $40 per person in advance and $65 at the door. Purchase them now from club members or by calling 635-3649.

Beverage vendors are Coca Cola, Mehana-Hawaii Nui, Kona Brewing, Better Brands and Pepsi Cola.

Stevenson said the silent auction will offer a wide variety of jewelry, artwork, golf and hotel packages and restaurant dinners for bid. Parking is available at the Naniloa golf course.

The event is a benefit to help the Rotary Club support a variety of community projects throughout East Hawaii, including the Rural Family Practice Residency, Hospice of Hilo Capital Campaign and the Rescue Tubes programs.
