Born in Binghamton, N.Y., he was a retired Foreign Service officer, former U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon, Assistant Secretary of State and Under Secretary General of the United Nations. He was also a member of Imiola Congregational Church and an Army veteran. Private services to be held. John Haward Davy Jr., 66, Allyn, Wash., died March 14 at the Kona Community Hospital. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was a retired firefighter for the Bremerton Fire Department.
