A 77-year-old woman who died Thursday after being involved in a four-vehicle crash at the intersection of Route 190 and Hinalani Street in Kailua-Kona has been identified by police as Alehandra Lauro of Kailua-Kona.
Police say that an autopsy performed Monday found that Lauro died from a medical condition and not as a result of the collision, so her death is not counted toward the official Big Island traffic fatality total for the year, which has been reduced from 12 to 11.
